My personal hygiene
Here are some of my personal hygiene tips that I follow:
1. Wash your hands often with soap and warm water
2. Use soap only when you want to wash your hands
3. Flush your toilet as soon as possible after use
4. Do not pick at or rub against the sink
5. Turn off taps as they are turned on
6. Dispose of dirty pots and pans (if broken)
7. Change clothes as soon as you get home (or change them back if they seem worn to the touch)
8. Don’t be too harsh when making washing up an accident happen
9. Leave soap in a container with loo roll
10. Change underwear whenever you bathe or shower
11. Have two sets of underclothes for different occasions
12. Make sure to change out at least once a week
13. Always keep your hair clean in a shampoo or conditioner spray
14. Avoid contact with hot water, hot lights, pool water or baths.
15. Try not to brush your teeth too hard
16. Do not forget to turn off all candles when leaving the room
17. Avoid using kitchen knives and forks
18. If possible, try your best to clean your bathroom
19. Never wipe down toilet seats or mirror
20. Keep an eye on food and drink as each item goes into your mouth
21. Don’t spend long periods on your feet (exercise a lot!)
22. Be careful about the size of items you put down
23. Check over your clothes regularly for stains or stains that you know did not have time or care to hide.
24. Be very grateful for what you have
25. Brush your hair properly when it is wet (especially if you have short hair)
26. Make sure your hair looks nice
27. Use one set of underclothes for different occasions
28. Put on your own socks, rags or slippers
29. Get dressed before leaving the house
30. Take your pet out with his/her toys
31. Don’t leave makeup brushes or cut-offs un-used
32. Clean your home
33. Look after your nails
34. Eat well and exercise
35. Don’t sit down on furniture often
36. Watch television while eating or brushing your teeth
37. Avoid the refrigerator while it has been opened
38. Remove dishes and glasses from the sink
39. Clean the toilet as soon as you brush your teeth
40. Make sure your bath towels are clean
41. Be gentle with pets
42. Let your children play with your cleaning products
43. Make sure they know what product and how to use it
44. Give yourself enough time to clean up after yourself
45. Shop online when buying things for your home
46. Ask someone else to do a certain task (especially kids)
47. Avoid taking public transport instead of driving
48. Pack your wallet and keys along with you like your personal safety deposit box (PSD)
49. Cook well and never eat outside your front door
50. Wear your own toothbrush and wash it yourself
51. Wipe the toilet paper every time you flush
52. Keep any open containers in your bathroom (such as bottles and water)
53. Don’t be picky, but rather choose the most convenient way to get something done
54. Avoid touching the handles while changing or when picking up
55. Set up your own dishwashing kit
56. Never forget: to empty your cupboard
57. Never be late for work
58. Always remember to wear make-up properly
59. Stick up your hand to stop a fall
60. Know how to take turns (and how to walk around a block without having to look at your phone)
61. Remember a tip from TV (I can’t remember which one but I do remember the one who always said ‘No help’ when asked to help)
62. Always carry your belongings (the items you need to live, such as food, money, etc.) with you, especially if they are heavy or bulky
63. Carry around extra water and snacks like nuts, berries and crackers
64. Don’t be afraid to ask for help!
65. Keep yourself safe and sound
66. Think twice before you jump in an attempt to save another person’s life
67. Listen to other people when they say "It’s fine" and try to wait for help to arrive
68. Have a quick chat with someone who needs support
69. Be considerate
70. Pay attention to others when shopping or talking
71. Work towards building your confidence
72. Have fun and look after yourself (whatever makes you happy)
73. Say “No” during those times
74. Practice saying “I don’t know” in response to someone’s request
75. Recognize when someone needs your help

78. Respect older people as much as possible
79. You are never going to lose, lose, lose, even if you’re giving everything you’ve got

What are these good habits for?
Some, like washing your hands frequently, could be self-centred or selfish. Some, like being thankful for where we are, might also be quite silly. But if it helps, then great, there are little things you can do right now to improve your hygiene and general wellbeing.
